Course information

214k (133 miles)

Start location: Felden Lodge, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire HP3 0BL, UK.

As this is a completely circular route you could start anywhere as long as you finish at the same location or do sections at a time to add up to the full route from any point on the route.

Finish Location: Same as the start location (see above).

This was an extremely tough and long ultra.

The terrain is mostly off road on tracks and bridleways with some road and a fair bit of mud if the weather is not kind. Most of the route is on footpaths and bridleways.

Cut Offs: The original race had a 42 hour cut off for full event with individual cut offs at each checkpoint.

Route

The route is marked with Chiltern Way markers and runners will navigate the course using maps and gpx files provided. It's a well marked national trail.

The route is generally well waymarked and signposted but some places are not marked and you must expect to navigate and not rely on the signs.

Transport/parking

214k - Hemel Hempstead has a train station and bus station a reasonable walk from the start and local car parks.

100k - There is no reasonable parking near the start so we would reccomend being dropped off there by someone or run to the start from another local area with parking.
